Completed in 2021, this residential development exhibits the very best of IBA architects bespoke housing designs. This kitchen and utility extension allowed the clients to maximize the potential of their living space, through expanding their small alpine style house with a contrasting modern timber and masonry extension . IBA Architects pushed this house into the modern era by designing the roof to have the impressive U-value of 0.10 W/m2k, which makes it both eco-friendly and cozy. Curtain walling has been enhanced with extra insulation to reinforce this, whilst still allowing for the refreshing pools of light to pour from the panoramic views of the garden.
