The Watermark Phase 1
IBA were commissioned in 2000 to master plan a new office park on the banks of the River Tyne. The site was derelict and contaminated having previously been used for heavy industrial production processes and as railway sidings.
Following the master plan, IBA were appointed to design and project manage the development in four phases. Phase 1 of the development comprised the remediation of the complete site together with stabilisation of the riverbank, the provision of the infrastructure and the design and construction of three office buildings with a total of 8000 m? of lettable space.
IBA have subsequently been commissioned by ITV Tyne Tees, twenty4help, EAGA and Venom Games to undertake fit out of office areas.
Phase 2 of the park was completed in November 2004 and the final two phases were completed in 2006.
