IBA were initially appointed to undertake a feasibility study following which we were engaged to develop the scheme to provide individual offices, various meeting rooms, archive facilities, a dedicated comms room and computer recovery suite.

Exacting standards of fire protection, sound insulation, finely controlled temperature and humidity levels were required, which were all integrated into the overall design. One of the driving principles in the design was to provide natural ventilation to all of the office areas, which resulted in the distinctive roof profile.

The scheme has recently won an international award in recognition of the design’s contribution to reducing climate change.
