Nelson Health Centre

IBA were commissioned in August 2011 to produce designs to refurbish and extend the existing Health Centre to provide accommodation for two GP Practices and PCT offices and associated clinical space.

The project was procured under the Lift Co arrangement with the demolitions, alterations, extensions and refurbishment to create the Centre being completed within a very tight timescale of 28 weeks to allow the centre to open in April 2012. The Centre provides a large waiting area, together with 17 Consulting Rooms, Treatment Rooms, associated admin space and PCT offices on the first floor.

This was a challenging project but through the partnering ethos the project was completed on time and within the original budget.
