This project has recently been completed and IBA Architects were appointed by the developer / contractor to provide drawings, technical support and advice following receipt of outline planning permission.

The buildings are of contemporary appearance, but traditional structure, and incorporate several innovative features. Materials used include facing brickwork, through colour render and high pressure laminate. Six different house types are included on the site, across six blocks, each intended to appeal to a different market segment. House types range from 2-storey, 2-bed properties to 4-storey, 5-bed properties.

Full planning permission was obtained following an outline planning application by other designers. The original design required considerable rationalisation in order to satisfy the Local Authority.  IBA dealt with all negotiations with the LA and worked hard to meet these requirements while ensuring that the original design intent was respected.
